Hopped and Bothered; Hangar 24 Essence
Hangar 24 -- Essence
Alcohol content 8.5%. The coloring is rich and unfiltered, unable to see through. Dark copper. The fragrance is instantly strong. Blood orange. Rind. Wheat. Instant blood orange tang on the first sip. Citrus acidity. The alcohol is present, with a pungent odor that works nicely. Grapefruit purses the lips. The acidity wears off after the first few sips. Gives way to a sweet maltiness.
Buy if: you want to try a DIPA, and enjoy citrus.
Overall: I'm not generally a fan of DIPA's, but Hangar 24 has sold me. Bitter nectar of the gods.
