Hopped and Bothered; Dogfish Head Punkin Ale

Dogfish Head -- Punkin
Alcohol content 7%. Instant aroma of brown sugar. Pours a deep copper. Mahogany. The head is tan, and dissolves quickly. The first sip takes like Autumn. Seriously. It manages to create an aura of Fall in your mouth.

Moving on.

The taste is rich and spicy. Brown sugar, pumpkin and especially cinnamon and cloves. It has a kiss of Belgian flavoring. The finish is dry and quick, and the pumpkin remains a powerful scent. It is both aggressive on the front, subtle in the back.

Buy if: like you need a reason.

Overall: a strong seasonal beer that will be gone shortly after you read this. Buy. It. Now.

    i'd love one. do they make these every year? wish i could go backpack across the U.S. I'd test every beer imaginable.
