TCM, "Active Inaction"

This is quite interesting.
Modern-day activism is a double edge sword. Thanks to the internet, we are aware of far more than previous generations. We are able to discover more than what the evening news chooses to cover that night. Not only can we hear about massive, life-changing events in other countries, we can see videos made by the people who are living it. We can read their twitter feed. We can chat with them one-on-one and get their story. However, what do we do with that information?
For most of us, activism shows itself in what we “like” and repost on our Facebook news feed. We tweet and blog about how “up in arms” we are about current issues, but, at the end of the day, who are we really helping?
