God bless. Still thinking.

  1. Got as far as reading TCG's original post, and their response, and Eric Reitan's response.

Not sure where to go with it. I was not offended by the TCG post. Frankly I never considered the impact ones theological view on gender roles would have on sexual behavior, so, I thought it was an interesting point to make.

I might be missing something, but I'm not really sure an apology is needed. I think it's pretty clear in the original post that they were not condoning or encouraging sexual abuse, and in the subsequent one they made it more clear.

As to the accusation that Egalitarianism can lead to sexual perversion, again, I don't know if it's true or not, but I think it's worth discussing. Also, in Eric's response, in which he stated he was disgusted and offended by the accusation, he then turned and made the exact same accusation against Complimentarianism. He basically said:

"I'm horribly offended that you say my view leads to rape. Your view leads to rape!"

  2. Oh, I also want to make it clear that I'm not offended by Eric's response either, and think that his point about the dangers of Complementarianism leading to abuse of women is a valid discussion to have as well (though I obviously disagree that it does).
