Hopped and Bothered; Lagunitas Hop Stoopid
Lagunitas -- Hop Stoopid
Alcohol content 8%. Pours a thick head with a sticky scent of pine and grapefruit. Head is frothy and layered. Scent is strong pine, lemon and a kiss of grapefruit. First sip is a slap to the taste buds. Almost exploding with passion fruit, hops, but a strong malt finish. Instantly bitter, finishes sticky sweet. Tangy. Dry. Finish is quick, but lingering.
Buy if: you want yourself an above-average IPA.
Overall: I wasn't blown away, but I did enjoy myself. The citrus emphasis, coupled with the subtle malt was a nice touch.
