Hopped and Bothered; Samuel Smith Organic Cider

Samuel Smith - Organic Apple Cider
Alcohol content 6%. The nose is tart and yeasty. Bready Almost a roasted almond feed. Spicy first sip. Tart. Acidic. A rich under tone, almost malty. Very light and crisp. The sweetness feels organic and almost oily, ending in a puckering dry finish. The alcohol has a mild burn, but this works well with the crisp finish and semi-sweet beginning.

Buy if: you want the best non-fructose driven hard cider.

Overall: my favorite cider thus far; understated, yet packed with flavor and atmosphere. Well done, Samuel Smith.

5 out of 5.
